Are You Ready for Some Football?!

Lance was so excited to introduce Lauren to college football for the first time tonight. I dressed Lauren in Bulldog attire - complete with a Rally Bell and footies. You might already know the SEC has outlawed cowbells.Well, Lauren was not quite as excited as her daddy. In fact, she slept through pre-game and kickoff. Then she ate through the first half.

Unfortunately, the dawgs did not fare too well this evening. At least daddy and daughter had a great night of bonding and better yet - the bulldogs have one more fan!

Mamaw's 83rd Birthday

This past weekend, we celebrated my grandmother's 83rd birthday. We went to Pete's Steakhouse. There, she chose gumbo and fried shrimp. We returned to the lake and surprised her with Carrot Cake, German Chocolate Cake and ice cream. Her birthday cake was topped with two candles - 83. What a treat to sing "Happy Birthday" to her.

8 Week Check Up

Today, Lauren had her 8 Week Checkup. She now weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces and is 22 inches long. She was so good at the doctor's office. Dr. Ruff said Lauren was just perfect. You mean we had to pay him to say what we already knew?! Here's a video of Nurse Kelly weighing Lauren.

Sleep - A Precious Thing!

Yes, it is 12 am and Lauren is bright eyed and bushy tailed - unlike her sleepy father.

Finally, she falls asleep at 2 am!

During pregnancy, Lauren would be very active around 10pm to 3 am. Her activity frequently woke me at all hours of the morning. We had an idea that she would be a night owl. We were right!

Another Photo Shoot

Yes, another photo shoot. If you know me, you know that I like to take photos. Lauren was not too happy with me on this day, but I did get a couple of good shots.

Grammy and Papa Visit Lauren

Grammy and Papa visited Lauren this week. Notice that I said they visited Lauren, not us! Ha! This little girl already has them wrapped around her tiny finger!

Lauren is most content after eating - aren't we all?! So after nursing, when sunlight is entering the window at the right angle, I rush around and try to take some photos. Finally, she is starting to look at the camera a little bit and not cry. Doesn't she look so kissable and huggable and loveable?!
