The Altizer Family Visit

This evening, Clay and Courtney Altizer visited Baby Lauren. Courtney is scheduled to have a baby next week. They are waiting until delivery to discover if their baby is a boy or girl. We can't wait to find out!

Weekend Visitors

My mother's sister and her family visited this weekend. Teresa, Norman and Kaleb met baby Lauren for the first time.

Here's another attempt at trying to catch fish at the lake. This is called "Noodle Fishing." The men have outfitted swimming noodles with hooks and bait for catfishing.

Here's mom with her Mandarin Duck - Lazarus. We can't wait for him to mature and see the beautiful plumage. View the mature Mandarin below, native of China.

Lauren is One Month Old!

The Lack Family Cradle

Today, Lauren took her first nap in this special cradle the Lack family is allowing us to use. This cradle is over 35 years old and was given as a gift for my friend, Dawn's birth. Look at the beautiful afghan that Dawn crocheted just for Lauren. We will treasure it forever!

Lauren's First Toy

Lauren has been continuously held the first 2 1/2 weeks of her life - with the many family and friends visiting. Since I'm not able to hold her all day long, she's been a little fussy. Thank heavens for the Kick & Play. Our neighbors, the Minericks, loaned us this wonderful contraption that vibrates, lights up and plays music. The vibration really sooths her. She is starting to notice the bright colors and different sounds as well.

Return Home

Sunday evening, we left mom and dad's home to return to our home. Our vehicle was loaded to the limit. We had to leave our Irish Setter, Shane, in with mom and dad - he would not fit in the vehicle with us. Mom and dad have just been wonderful the past 2 1/2 weeks. They were such gracious hosts to the many family and friends who visited us to celebrate Lauren's birth. Mom and dad made it possible for us to rest and enjoy this precious and memorable time in our lives. Thanks Mom and Dad!

The Henning Family Visit
